Samsung launched its 64MP image sensor for the first time in the world in May.

Now, with the help of Xiaomi, Samsung has once again unveiled the world’s first mega-pixel 108-megapixel camera sensor, making it the first mobile camera sensor to exceed 100 million pixels.

It can take 108 mega-pixel photos, but by reducing the size of the photo to 27 mega-pixel (by creating one pixel using 4 pixels), it will be able to show more detail and be better in low light conditions. Samsung also points out that it can be used for retrieval.

They also use this sensor, which is capable of recording video at 6K resolution at 30 frames per second.

According to information received a few days ago, Xiaomi is planning to use this Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor for the MI Mix 4.
