Remember, we informed you earlier that Android Q, or the latest version of the Android operating system, will be called Android 10 and it will be officially released on Pixel phones on September 3rd.

As expected, Google yesterday officially released the stable version of Android Pixel to all of their Google Pixel phones, and Essential also released the update to their Essential Phone on the same day.

To the surprise of all, Xiaomi also launched their Redmi K20 Pro on the same day, the MIUI 10 version based on the Android 10 version.

Android 10 is now officially released, and Google has added the source code to AOSP, or Android Open Source Project.

Uploading the source code to AOSP will enable Project Treble to make it available to mobile phones quickly, and enable custom ROM developers to start working on it. Over the next few months, most older phones will be able to install Android 10 version.
